First off… lets start by figuring out just What is CrossFit?

From the article we know that it’s a strength and conditioning program designed to create general, broad, and inclusive fitness. Hmmm…. Put in other words our workouts are designed to prepare you for pretty much anything. Lifting things, throwing things, carrying things, helping you jump that fence when the neighbor’s dog all of a sudden starts chasing you. That’s the kind of fitness we’re shooting for.

BUT EVERYONE LOOKS SO BUFF, I COULD NEVER DO THESE WORKOUTS…

Well hold on there, remember “The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.” That means that whether you’re a star athlete or someone “just off the couch” we have tried and proven methods and techniques to scale the workout to your fitness level. If you think that you couldn’t do it because you’re just not physically fit enough maybe you should watch this clip from the Wall Street Journal about a Marine who had his pelvis shattered doing CrossFit.

Step One – Visit / Open House: If you are new to CrossFit or want to check us out, please come on in and watch one of our classes. If you would like to give it a try, come to our Saturday open house session at 9:30AM for your FREE WOD (Workout of the day)! Call us, and be ready to get a taste of CrossFit. We prefer that people pre-register for class by calling ahead, but if you have any trouble doing so, just come on out and we’ll be happy to put you through our workout. If you cannot make it to the open house, call or email to make an appointment. No CrossFit experience is necessary for the Open House.

Step Two – Foundations: The next step is the Foundations Workshop… a 6 class beginners program, lasting 2 weeks. We convene a new workshop at the beginning and middle of the month. The focus of our Foundations is on the key movements, and basic forms, and techniques which will build up to full CrossFit intensity. Foundations is open to all ages and level of fitness, and is lead by one of our CrossFit certified coaches.
